One of the four men accused of the kidnap and assault of Quinn Industrial Holdings executive Kevin Lunney applied for bail at a court in County Cavan today. The judge denied his application.
Mr. Lunney was abducted from his home in Kianawley in September. He was tortured before being dumped on the roadside in County Cavam
The four men appeared in Virginia Court in Cavan today (Tuesday) charged with assault and false imprisonment.
Darren Redmond, 25, from Calendon Road, East Wall, Dublin and Alan O'Brien, 38, from Shelmalier Road, East Wall, Dublin did not apply for bail on this occasion.
A third defendant Luke O'Reilly, 66, from Mullahoran Lower, Kilcogy, County Cavan applied for bail, but the judge refused this application.
Another man, who cannot be identified due to reporting restriction imposed by the Judge, was also remanded in custody.
All four men were remanded into continuing custody until 13 December.
