Over the last year, Anto and the Echoes have been playing various gigs around the country and spending time in the studio recording new music.

To round off their busy year, the band are hosting a Christmas gig ‘Xmas Echorama’ on Saturday, December 21 in Willie Ramblers, Enniskillen. The Belfast-based but Fermanagh bred band featuring Anthony ‘Anto’ Breen (Lead Vocals), Luke Burns (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals), Francis McNally (Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals), Ryan McGoldrick (Rhythm Guitar), Seymour Major (Keyboards and Backing Vocals) and Mark Miller (Drums) are renowned for their vibrant live shows and dramatic stage presence. Headlining on the night, they are sure to get everyone into the festive spirit. They will be joined by a stellar line up of local talent including Caimin O’Shea, Cu Culann and Taobh Eile.

Caimin will kick off proceedings at 9.30pm. A veteran local musician and singer/songwriter Caimin brings an impressive catalogue of acoustic songs to the evening. Having previously played with some of Fermanagh’s most talented and recognisable groups including the Watch and Love Seeds his solo work is equally as spectacular to listen to.

Following Caimin will be Cu Culann. This Belfast-based alternative rock band has been providing tunes to the people of Ireland for four years. Influences ranging from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Led Zepplin to The Shins, Snow Patrol, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and many more led to the creation of some massive riffs and hooks. Creating a unique sound through the use of ambient reverbs, thick distortion tones, silky, but sometimes aggressive vocals and a pumping rhythm section, Cu Culann bring something new to the game.

Taobh Eile, an entrancing local duet featuring Niamh Carney and Philana Nolan, whose harmonies and songwriting are turning heads across the country will also perform on the night. Having recently released their EP and coming from a recent show supporting Joshua Burnside, these two are not to be missed.

Speaking to The Impartial Reporter ahead of the upcoming gig, Anto and the Echoes frontman Anthony Breen said: “We can’t wait to get home and hopefully get a good crowd.”

Having had a successful year launching their new single ‘I Guess That’s What They Call Love’ and playing numerous gigs including opening for Scottish band The Snuts, Anthony shared the band’s plans for the new year ahead: “For 2020, we want to do a tour of mainland UK. We’ve done loads of gigs here and it’s been great, we love playing at home and we love playing in Belfast and Dublin but our aim is get across the water to hopefully push it out a bit more and get seen there.”

“It’s been going well here and we are just playing away, hopefully we’ll play some festivals in the summer as well. Get back to Sunflower Fest or Stendhal, that’s what we’d really like to do.” he added.

Anto and the Echoes’ music is available on various social media platforms including Spotify. “Everything’s up there and free for everyone to listen,” said Anthony.

“The big thing is to push for a UK tour and to release another single next year. We are just at the point where we are doing as much as we can and releasing as much as we can, hopefully just getting them breaks,” he told this newspaper.
