The weather was miserable this morning as the electorate of Fermanagh and South Tyrone headed to the polls to vote in what is the third General Election in four years.
There are 650 seats up for grabs throughout the United Kingdom, with 18 of those seats in Northern Ireland.
The DUP held the most with 10 seats, Sinn Féin had seven with the retiring Independent Lady Sylvia Hermon holding the final seat.
In the constituency of Fermanagh and South Tyrone, sitting MP Michelle Gildernew from Sinn Féin is hoping she can hold of the challenge from four other candidates.
The biggest threat to her seat comes in the form of Ulster Unionist Tom Elliott.
Mr. Elliott took the seat from Mrs. Gildernew in 2015 as part of a Unionist pact but Sinn Féin reclaimed it in 2017.
The SDLP have Adam Gannon contesting the seat alongside Matt Beaumont of the Alliance and Indenpendent Caroline Wheeler.
Voting stations opened at 7am and will close at 10pm with a winner expected to be announced in the early hours of Friday morning.
