The annual Christmas sit-out by neighbouring ministers in Ballinamallard has raised over £5,500 which will be divided between Youth Activities in Ballinamallard and Prostate Cancer UK. This year the Archdeacon of Clogher, the Venerable Brian Harper, Rector of Magheracross Parish and the Reverend John Beacom of Ballinamallard Methodist Church were joined by Naomi Armstrong, Youth Minister for Ballinamallard for the 12-hour Christmas sit-out which took place on Thursday, December 19 from 8am to 8pm. Setting up base on the pavement outside Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard, they received plenty of support from members of the congregations in the village and passers-by, raising a total of £5,529 on the day. Throughout the day, local businesses provided hot food and refreshments to keep them all well nourished during their long sit-out.

Thanking everyone for their generosity, in a joint comment Archdeacon Harper, Rev. Beacom and Naomi said: "We met lots of lovely people, enjoyed the hospitality of the local hot food and drink providers and collected £5529 in damp cash (which had to be dried out in front of the stove!) We had donations from across the county and community so thank you all."
