POPULAR defender Keith Lowe has returned to Kidderminster Harriers for a third spell.

The centre-half, 34, made 123 starts across two spells and comes back on a contract until the end of the season.

“I just couldn’t keep away,” quipped Lowe, who is eligible to feature in tomorrow’s home clash with Blyth Spartans in National North (Saturday, 3pm).

“The opportunity came up (with Harriers) short of numbers at centre-half with suspensions and a few injuries so Russ (Penn, assistant manager) gave me a call and I jumped at the chance.

“Hopefully I can make a positive impact and get things a bit more organised. That’s nothing against the lads who have been there, they have been great as well but hopefully I can add a bit of knowhow to help the younger lads.

“I played some of my best football here, even when I came in for the first time as a young lad I really enjoyed it and played in some really good teams. I’m hoping to replicate that.”

Meanwhile, young striker Ethan Freemantle has signed an 18-month deal at Aggborough.

“It’s a very proud moment for me to sign my first contract with the club. It has been a long journey but a very enjoyable one,” said Freemantle.
