A police spokesman has confirmed that a pedestrian walkway in Enniskillen, locally known as ‘black path’, was cordoned off on Tuesday afternoon (January 7) after a member of the public reported a discovery of bones along the route. After further examination by Enniskillen based Police Service of Northern Ireland Officers, it was clarified that the bones were in fact “large animal bones”.
A spokesman for the PSNI stated: “There were bones located by a member of the public, upon further examination they turned out to be large animal bones.”
“No crime was committed here. There is nothing for the public to worry about,” the PSNI spokesman added.
