Police are appealing for witnesses after a bus was attacked with a brick whilst travelling along the Derrylin Road yesterday evening (January 9).

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) are currently investigating criminal damage to a bus as it was travelling along the Derrylin Road, past Lisgoole Park at 7pm on Thursday evening.

Requesting the assistance of residents in the Lisgoole Park area of Enniskillen and commuters who travel along the Derrylin Road, a spokesman for the PSNI stated: "At 7pm a brick was thrown through one of the side windows. Thankfully there were no passengers on board the bus and the driver was unhurt. This could have easily caused a serious injury. This is a total reckless act."

"We urge anyone who may have been in the area to come forward and assist us. Were you in the area? Did you see the incident take place? Did you see any suspicious activity? If so please make contact via 101 and quote reference 1555 09/01/20," the PSNI spokesman concluded.
