Enniskillen winger, Robert Baloucoune, has been rewarded for his impressive form for Ulster this season by being named as part of a training squad for Ireland in their build up for this year's Guinness Six Nations.

Baloucoune was named in the squad as a "development" player alongside Ryan Baird, Will Connors and Harry Byrne of Leinster and will take part in a warm weather training camp in Portugal in preparation for the opener against Scotland in Dublin.

Andy Farrell, who took over from Joe Schmidt after the World Cup in Rugby commented: "The provinces are doing a great job in developing young talent and we feel there is an opportunity in the national set-up to support that work and get a better insight into some young players that have put in strong performances for their provinces. Ryan, Will, Harry and Robert will be the first ones to join the squad in this development role.”

Fellow Ulster player, Will Addison, whose mother is from Kesh has also been selected as well as former Clogher Valley player Chris Farrell, who now plays for Munster, has also been included.
