It is understood that Alison McCullagh is to be named as the new Chief Executive of the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. Ms McCullagh previously held the post of Director of Regeneration and Planning.
Ms McCullagh will take over the role from Brendan Hegarty. Mr. Hegarty had held the position since its establishment in 2014, and retired in October 2019. Prior to this, Mr. Hegarty was chief executive of Fermanagh District Council from 2010 until 2014.
The Impartial Reporter understands that news of the appointment was emailed to Councillors earlier today by Chairwoman Siobhan Currie.
