Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has appointed Alison McCullagh as its new Chief Executive.

Alison will take up the role of Chief Executive on February 1, 2020.

Alison has been working with the Council as Director of Regeneration and Planning since January 2015 and more recently she undertook a short period as Acting Chief Executive. 

Congratulating the incoming Chief Executive on her appointment, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Siobhán Currie, said: "I would like to congratulate Alison on her appointment.

"This is an exciting time for the Council and its citizens, with the Council soon to publish its new Corporate Plan which sets out the Council's priorities for the next four years. The Council has also embarked on a substantial transformation programme, to ensure its services are aligned to the district's Community Plan, are future-proofed, cost effective and provided on a fair and equitable basis across the district. 

"We look forward to working with Alison to build on the successes of the Council so far and to lead on shaping and working towards the vision and priorities of the Council to improve the wellbeing of our residents, ratepayers and the district."

Commenting on her appointment Alison said: "I am honoured to take up the position of Chief Executive for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and I look forward to working with our Elected Members and staff team to deliver on the Council's vision and aspirations for the District and its citizens".
