The Fermanagh Fleadh fundraising concert, which took place at the Killyhevlin Hotel, was a great success with over 300 people in attendance on the night. They were entertained by a host of brilliant musicians and singers which included All-Ireland Winners from last year’s Fleadh in Drogheda. This year’s Fermanagh Fleadh will be held in Derrylin and Kinawley.

Over the coming weeks there will be a range of events taking place across different Comhaltas branches in Fermanagh including music and singing classes every Tuesday evening in St. Tierney’s Primary School, Rosslea from 6.15pm to 9.30pm. These classes provide lessons in Whistle, Accordion (Piano and Button), Fiddle, Flute, Banjo, Piano, Concertina, Mandolin, Bodhran and Drums. Also Ceili dancing classes will take place every Wednesday night from 8.30pm to 10.30pm in the Community Centre in Rosslea with Bernard Geoghan. Caitlin McKillion will be the special guest at the next youth session on Sunday, February 2.

The Canon Murphy Memorial Trad Weekend hosted by Newtownbutler CCE will take place from Friday, January 31 to Sunday, February 2.
