Police are appealing for information and witnesses after the house of an elderly person was one of two break-ins in the early hours of Friday morning.
An alarm did scare off intruders at one of the houses but the police are still keen to gather any information on the break-ins which took place in the Irvinestown area.
A police spokesperson said: "Two house holds in the Irvinestown area have been the victims of crime.
"The houses were broken into. One of the victims was elderly. Thankfully a house alarm sounded and scared them off.
"Police are appealing for anybody that was in the area between 3am and 5am that seen anybody suspicious or even heard an alarm go off to come forward with information."
