Police are treating as arson a house fire that occurred in the county last night, Thursday and are appealing for witnesses and information. 


The fire, which took place on the Coa Road was in a derelict property and was reported just after 11pm. 
Sergeant Hicks explained that the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze "and have ruled this to be deliberate ignition, so we are treating this as arson at this time".


Sergeant Hicks continued: "Enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed any suspicious activity, or has information about this incident to call us on 101, quoting reference 1984 of 20/02/20.Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
