More people aged up to 44 years of age have tested positive for Coronavirus in Northern Ireland than any other age bracket, figures released by the Department of Health (DoH) has revealed today.
In total 148 positive tests have been confirmed with 2692 tests having been completed. 52 people have tested positive in the 0-44 age bracket, 51 in the 45-69 age bracket and 45 in the 70 plus age bracket.
Day on day there were 20 new positive tests confirmed as of 2pm today, Monday March 23. There have been two deaths to date relating to the coronavirus.
A DoH spokesperson stated that there has been no change to the policy of not treating people with mild symtoms: "People with mild symptoms - new persistent cough and/or fever - should stay at home and self-isolate. They will not require testing and will not therefore be included in testing totals."
