Mr. Thomas Albert (Bertie) Johnston of Killyblane, Florencecourt, passed away at the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen on February 8, 2020.
Mr. Johnston, a native of Florencecourt, previously enjoyed good health.
The third eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Johnston, he was born at Killyblane and attended the Old Gate School before starting to work on the family farm. Farming was his main interest.
Mr. Johnston was a life long member of the Old Gate L.O.L. 362 and Florencecourt Star of the West 903.
His funeral service as led by Rev. Ruth West at St. John’s Church, Florencecourt. The hyms were ‘Shall We Gather At The River’, ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’ and ‘Safe In The Arms Of Jesus’.
Bertie is survived by his sister Gretta. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Bob.
The funeral arrangements were by Mr. D. Coalter of Letterbreen.
