Amateur photographer Paul Ralph has an affinity for landscape photography, capturing local beauty spots and landmarks. During lockdown he has been sharing his photographs online, gauging a very positive reaction.

Speaking to The Impartial Reporter about his passion for photography, Paul said: “I did photography as a teenager and then got back into it about a year ago. My favourite photo that I have taken is probably of a sunset in Rossnowlagh.”

Using a Canon 60d DSLR camera and various lenses, Paul predominantly takes photographs of landscapes but due to lockdown he explained that he is currently limited to where he can go. He noted that he would also like to experiment with street photography, taking photographs of people.

When asked what his favourite subject matter is and why, Paul shared: “Old buildings and castles because of the history and textures.”

However, he added that his favourite photograph that he has taken is of a sunset at Rossnowlagh beach in County Donegal.
