Cuilcagh Boardwalk is reopening today, Monday, June 22 following its temporary closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark announced yesterday that the boardwalk is to reopen today and that those visiting should leave no trace, keep their distance and come prepared for a mountain environment.

A spokesman for the Geopark said: "If you haven’t visited us before, be aware that there are sections of the boardwalk that have handrails and you may have to pass people at close proximity. We will have a ranger onsite to move people along at pinch points and at the platform at the top of the boardwalk."

He continued: "Car parking will be provided at Killykeegan. There is also a privately owned charged car park operated at the start of the boardwalk. Please do not park on the road or block gates/entrances."

"Lastly, Cuilcagh is an open environment in the countryside. Sanitiser will not be available on site. Please be responsible for your own safety, and the safety of others," the spokesman concluded.
