A 32-year-old Enniskillen man has been remanded in custody accused of assaulting a woman causing an injury which required stitches.
James Donahoe from Windmill Heights is charged with causing actual bodily harm on 16 June.
A police officer told Enniskillen Magistrates Court sitting in Dungannon the charge could be connected.
Donaghoe, who appeared by video-link was asked if he understood the charge and replied, “No.”
District Judge Eamon King told him, “In plain language, it is alleged you assaulted (the victim) and I have a photograph where she has a cut above her right eye which required stiches. The allegation is that you – big man that you are – did that.”
Donaghoe did not respond but his lawyer confirmed the charge had been explained in full.
He further advised there would be no application for bail at this stage as there is no address available for release.
Judge King remanded Donaghoe in custody to appear again by video-link on 29 June, when a bail application is expected to be moved.
