Investigations are underway following an arson in Oakfield Court, Enniskillen on June 21, where a wheelie bin appeared to have been deliberately set alight.
A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) stated: “Firefighters were called to a fire at a property in Oakfield Court where a wheelie bin appears to have been placed against the door of the property and set alight.”
Two fire service appliances from Enniskillen Fire Station and one fire service appliance from Irvinestown Fire Station attended the incident following a call at 4.18am on Sunday, June 21. Firefighters wore breathing apparatuses and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
“The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate ignition and the incident was dealt with by 5.11am,” the NIFRS spokesman concluded.
Police in Enniskillen are investigating the incident. “If anyone say anything suspicious or has any information that would assist Police with their enquiries, please ring 101 and quote reference 335 of 21/06/2020,” a spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) appealed.
