Police have arrested a man following the report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the Cullion Road, Tempo, on Sunday evening (July 5).

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Sergeant Robertson said: “We received a report of the collision just after 6.40pm on Sunday. Officers attended to find a car being driven in the area had collided with a tree on the side of the road.

“A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of a number of driving-related offences, including driving with excess alcohol in breath and failing to remain where an accident occurred causing injury. He has since been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed this collision, or who may have captured dash cam footage, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1417 of 05/07/20,” Sergeant Robertson concluded.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) received a 999 call at 6.53pm on the Sunday evening (July 5) following reports of a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) incident at Coolcran Road,Tempo.

The NIAS dispatched two Emergency crews to the scene.

A spokeswoman for the NIAS stated: "Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no one was transported to hospital."
