Enniskillen RNLI were tasked to a Mayday call in the Devenish Island area of Fermanagh yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, August 12) where a man had "lacerated" his foot on glass.
In a post to the Enniskillen RNLI Facebook page on Wednesday night, a spokesman for the RNLI stated: "We were tasked this afternoon to a Mayday call in the area of Devenish Island. On arrival the cruiser had moored at the jetty. A gentleman onboard had lacerated his foot on glass but didn’t require casualty care treatment."
The RNLI spokesman added: "Two adults and two children were brought to Enniskillen via lifeboat while two adults stayed with the vessel waiting repair."
On route to the incident the Rescue Water Craft (RWC) assisted a hire vessel with fuel issues at Portora Lockgates and shadowed them to Lakeland Forum.
"Also present were NIFRS West and Police Fermanagh and Omagh Lady Grey was launching," the RNLI spokesman concluded.
