Charges arising out of an alleged incident in which a woman was allegedly assaulted have been connected to an Enniskillen man in his absence, as he was not required to attend court due to Coronavirus restrictions.
Along with assault, Philip Waite (37), from Floraville, is accused of having a knife in public and damaging the woman’s mobile phone on August 13.
A police officer told Enniskillen Magistrates Court, sitting in Omagh, all matters could be connected.
A defence lawyer contended a withdrawal statement has been made which is yet to be reviewed by the prosecution.
District Judge Steven Keown remanded Waite on continuing bail and listed the case for review on October 12.
