Derrygonnelly 2-07 Kinawley Brian Borus 1-02

Derrygonnelly Harps remain on course for a sixth championship title in a row after they recorded a convincing 2-7 to 1-2 victory over Kinawley in Brewster Park this evening.

This was a controlled display from the Harps who took a grip on matters in the second quarter when two Gary McKenna goals helped them into a 2-4 to 0-2 lead.

Kinawley were given hope on the stroke of half time when Aaron Tierney powered a shot to the back of the net but that was to be the Brian Borus last score of the game.

It took 22 minutes into the second half for the next score with Derrygonnelly, who were guilty of some wayward shooting on the night, hitting three points in the closing stages to run out eight point victors.
