THE PSNI has denied that there is a cross-Border manhunt for a Fermanagh man who is accused of the murder of a sex worker in Thailand.

Several newspapers across the island of Ireland alleged that there is a “cross-Border alert” for Neil Henry Elliott. Reported but unconfirmed sightings of Elliott in Fermanagh have been made to this newspaper.

It is alleged that “the PSNI has asked detectives here to help find Neil Henry Elliott (48), from Fermanagh, who is believed to be in Co. Cavan and is suspected of planning to flee the country from Dublin Airport”.

However, a spokesperson from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said: “There is no outstanding warrant for Neil Elliott.

“There is an upcoming court case in Thailand for this man. At this point in time, he is not wanted by the PSNI.”

When contacted by this newspaper, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said the police force “does not comment on named individuals”.

They added: “An Garda Síochána does not comment on correspondence, received or not, with other police forces.”

Previously, Neil Henry Elliott told police in Thailand that he picked up a sex worker, named ‘Onn’, from the red-light street in Soi Buakhao which is in the notorious Thai resort town of Pattaya on April 29, at around 10pm.

Mr Elliott visited the strip of closed bars, then allegedly took the woman to his rented bungalow where they had drug fuelled sex under the influence of a powerf methamphetamine drug, Yada. They did not sleep until the morning. However, the next morning the pair reportedly started arguing and Mr Elliott allegedly battered Inn with a snooker cue until it snapped.

It wa reported tat Mr Elliott told Thai polie he stabbed Onn with a 60cm machete after she resisted during a struggle.
