MOTORISTS across Fermanagh can expect to be hit by further disruption and delays as works continue on two major roads in Fermanagh.

Resurfacing work begun in both Tempo and Belleek on Monday, with long delays expected to add some frustration for commuters.

The villages of Tempo and Belleek will have the most severe impact, with delays estimated to be between five minutes and 15 minutes, with the roadworks commencing on Monday last and continuing through to October 9.

The Tempo road has been closed at the junction with the Pubble Church Road to its junction with the Largy Road. This closure is to facilitate for milling/regulating/surface course.

Motorists have been advised by the Department of Infrastructure to take alternative routes. The route advised from Enniskillen is via B80 Tempo Road, A4 Belfast Road, B535 Gardiners Cross Road, B80 Tempo Road and vice-versa from Tempo.

Motorists from Belleek will also be facing a disruption of between five and 15 minutes as the Lough Shore Road at Straddle is closed.

It is closed from the junction with Brollagh Road to the junction with Toura Road. This road closure is required to facilitate resurfacing works.

The alternative route that been advised by the Department is from Enniskillen via Sligo Road, Belcoo, B52 Lattone Road, Garrison, Belleek and vice-versa

Both of these closures will take place from 9.30am to 4.30pm on week days, with those travelling to and from from both Tempo and Belleek advised to expect delays.
