Kyle Lafferty held his nerve to help fire Northern Ireland one step closer to the Euro 2020 finals as they edged out Bosnia Herzegovinia on penalties.
Northern Ireland overcame a 1-0 half-time deficit as Niall McGinn equalised in the 53rd minute to prevail in a tense encounter.
Fermanagh man Lafferty came on as the game entered extra-tima while both teams had chances to win the game in normal time.
However, they were not to be separated and Lafferty sent the keeper the wrong way with a superb penalty, the second of the shoot-out as Northern Ireland edged the shoot-out 4-3 to set up a final qualifier against Slovakia who edged out the Republic of Ireland on penalties.
Northern Ireland will play Slovakia in Belfast next month, Thursday, November 12.
