One death has been reported in Fermanagh and Omagh over the weekend, according to the Department of Health dashboard.  The death occurred on Friday October 16 and was included in Saturday’s figures.

The weekend figures for Covid-19 rates in Fermanagh and Omagh show that on Saturday there were 31 positive cases recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh for the previous 24 hours and one death in the SWAH. On Sunday there were 36 positive cases recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh and today (Monday) for the past 24 hours there have been 31 positive cases recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh in the past 24 hours.

In the past week (October 12 - October 19) there have been 264 new cases and they have been broken down by the Department into the following age brackets.

Some 48 cases were in people aged 19 and under; 94 cases were between the ages of 20 and 39; 85 cases were in those aged between 40 and 59, 33 cases were between 60 and 79 and seven cases were in those aged 80 and over.

There have been a total of 981 cases recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh since the pandemic began. There were 820 new cases across NI. The total number of positive cases in NI for the past seven days were 6,708 new cases.

The seven-day 'R' rate for positives case per 100k people now sits at in Fermanagh and Omagh is now 228.5per 100k people for the week (October 12 - 19). The R rate for the previous seven days was cases 226.0 per 100k people.

There are currently 13 in-patients. There are 54 in-patients across the Western Trust. There have been 47 admissions to the Trust  and 42 discharges in the past seven days. There are 261 in-patients in hospital across NI with the virus. Some 29 people are on Covid ICU beds across NI. There are 25 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across NI.

There are currently 80 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 10  suspected care home outbreaks across NI.
