The daily updates from the Department of Health over the weekend have shown there was one further Covid-19 related death in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, bringing the total figure to 17.

It comes as 19 Covid related deaths were reported on today (Sunday) and Saturday with the total figure across Northern Ireland now standing at 716.

There were also 58 new cases reported in Fermanagh and Omagh, 22 on Saturday and 36 on Sunday. 1,469 people have now tested positive across the district.

The department reported 1,334 people tested positive across Northern Ireland with the total now at 39,116. 5,145 of those tested positive in the last seven days.

Breaking down positive cases by postcode in Fermanagh, from October 19-25, there were 21 cases in BT93; 47 cases in BT92; 37 positive cases in BT94; and 47 cases in BT74. 

There have been 229 positive cases in the Council area. Some 32 of those were aged 19 and under; 64 were aged between 20 and 39; 86 were aged between 40 and 59; 33 were aged between 60 and 79, and 14 were aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positive cases per 100k people in Fermanagh and Omagh now stands at 196 per 100k, for the week of October 25-31 – the previous week’s rate stood at 263.6.

There are currently 78 in-patients across the Western Trust, with 16 of those in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) while there have been 58 admissions and 60 discharges in the past seven days in Western Trust hospitals.

Across the five Trusts, there are 361 in-patients in hospital with the virus. Some 48 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland, one of those is in the SWAH. There are 41 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

There are currently 109 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 12 suspected care home outbreaks across Northern Ireland.
