The total numbers of Covid-19 related deaths in Northern Ireland has risen to 724, with eight deaths reported by the Department of Health. 

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area remains the least affected with 17 deaths.

The daily update also reported 493 positive cases in the last 24 hours with 25 of those in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area. Overall, 39,609 people in Northern Ireland have tested positive for the virus. 1,494 have tested positive in Fermanagh and Omagh.

Breaking down positive cases by postcode in Fermanagh, from October 26 to November 1, there were 15 cases in BT93; 58 cases in BT92; 23 positive cases in BT94; and 32 cases in BT74. 

There have been 226 positive cases in the Council area. Some 30 of those were aged 19 and under; 69 were aged between 20 and 39; 87 were aged between 40 and 59; 26 were aged between 60 and 79, and 14 were aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positive cases per 100k people in Fermanagh and Omagh now stands at 193.4 per 100k, for the week of October 26 to November 1 – the previous week’s rate stood at 262.8.

There are currently 80 in-patients across the Western Trust, with 16 of those in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) while there have been 54 admissions and 58 discharges in the past seven days in Western Trust hospitals.

Across the five Trusts, there are 379 in-patients in hospital with the virus. Some 52 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland, two are in the SWAH. There are 42 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

As of Monday's update, SWAH is bed occupancy is currently operating above available capacity.

There are currently 120 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 12 suspected care home outbreaks across Northern Ireland.
