A further eight deaths linked to Covid-19 have occurred in Nothern Ireland in the last 24 hours according to the Department of Health's daily update bringing the total to 760.

In the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area there were no deaths reported. There were 24 positive cases, the lowest across all Council areas, bringing the total to 1,582.

Across Northern Ireland 595 people tested positive for the virus with the total now standing at 41,969.

Breaking down positive cases by postcode in Fermanagh, from October 26 to November 1, there were 15 cases in BT93; 58 cases in BT92; 23 positive cases in BT94; and 32 cases in BT74. 

There have been 178 positive cases in the Council area in the last seven days compared to 241 in the previous week from October 20-26. Some 22 of those were aged 19 and under; 62 were aged between 20 and 39; 64 were aged between 40 and 59; 21 were aged between 60 and 79, and 9 were aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positive cases per 100k people in Fermanagh and Omagh now stands at 152.4 per 100k, for the week of October 26 to November 1 – the previous week’s rate stood at 206.3.

There are currently 74 in-patients across the Western Trust, with 14 of these in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH). While there have been 57 admissions and 70 discharges in the past seven days in Western Trust hospitals.

Across the five Trusts, there are 407 in-patients in hospital with the virus. Some 49 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland, none of those are in the SWAH. There are 39 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

There are currently 126 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 4 suspected care home outbreaks across Northern Ireland.
