The total number of deaths in Northern Ireland related to coronavirus has risen to 802 in the last 24 hours with the latest report from the Deaprtment of Health showing 11 deaths across the country.

Positive cases in Northern Ireland increased by 514 to 43,902 with 27 of those in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area. The total number of cases in the district currently stands at 1,659. There were no deaths recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh where there has been 20 Covid-19 related deaths reported by the department

Breaking down positive cases by postcode in Fermanagh, from November 3-9, there were 14 cases in BT93; 38 cases in BT92; 22 positive cases in BT94; and 21 cases in BT74. 

There have been 154 positive cases in the Council area in the last seven days compared to 208 in the previous week from October 27 to November 2. Some 18 of those were aged 19 and under; 57 were aged between 20 and 39; 49 were aged between 40 and 59; 25 were aged between 60 and 79, and 5 were aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positive cases per 100k people in Fermanagh and Omagh now stands at 131.8 per 100k, for the week of November 3-9 – the previous week’s rate stood at 178.

There are currently 75 in-patients across the Western Trust, with 14 of these in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH). While there have been 45 admissions and 57 discharges in the past seven days in Western Trust hospitals.

Across the five Trusts, there are 420 in-patients in hospital with the virus. Some 50 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland, none of those are in the SWAH. There are 39 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

As of today's report, the current available bed occupancy at the SWAH was operating above 100 per cent.

There are currently 146 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 3 suspected care home outbreaks across Northern Ireland.
