THE 13th annual 1FTSQ small works art exhibition, organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, will open virtually for the first time on Friday, December 4 at 7pm.
An open call was issued to the Arts community in October, and there was an excellent response, with 39 artists exhibiting 117 works of art in a variety of mediums, including photography, porcelain, ceramics, oil, acrylic, pencil, mixed-media and prints.
This year, the Covid-19 pandemic has presented many challenges and organising the 1FTSQ exhibition was no exception.
However, difficult problems can deliver innovative solutions, and the ability to view the exhibition from the comfort of your own home, courtesy of Strule Arts Book's Facebook page, is a novel way of ensuring that as many people as possible can view the exhibition.
Once again, this year, two external adjudicators have been invited to select three prizewinning artists and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is extremely grateful to Noelle McAlinden and Geraldine O’Reilly, from Fermanagh and Omagh Arts Forum, for undertaking this difficult task.
The 1FTSQ exhibition will run online on Strule Arts Centre's Facebook page from Friday, December 4 until Saturday, January 9, 2021.
