Fermanagh and Omagh Council area recorded the lowest number of positive Covid-19 cases in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

The nine positive cases locally was the lowest figure and was shared with Ard and North Down Council.

It brings the total number of positive cases here to 5,472.

Across Northern Ireland there were 341 positive cases which sees the total number increase to 109,488.

Nine Covid related deaths were reported by the department, bringing the death toll to 2,009. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council again recorded no deaths with total standing at 80. There has been no deaths recorded locally since February 5.

In the last seven days 48 people have tested positive for Covid in Fermanagh and Omagh compared to 99 for the seven days from February 2-8.

The seven day rate per 100k of population dropped again to 41.1 compared to 84.7 for the seven days previous. 

Of those 48 cases, nine were aged 19 and under, 13 between 20 and 39; 16 were aged between 40 and 59; 6 aged between 60 and 79 and four were aged 80 and under.

From February 8-14 postcode in Fermanagh have recorded low positive cases with BT92 having eight; BT74 had seven; BT94 had six and BT93 recorded four.

There are currently 54 Covid inpatients in the Western Trust with 22 in SWAH. Across all hospitals in Northern Ireland there are 474 Covid inpatients.

SWAH has no ICU Covid occupied beds. While across Northern Ireland there are 55 Covid ICU patients with 45 of them on ventilators.

SWAH is however, operating slightly over it bed capacity as of Tuesday's update.

In care homes, there are 64 active outbreaks as of February 11, a fall of 26 compared with the previous seven days. Out of the 96 outbreaks as of February 8, there have been 18 outbreaks in the Western Trust.
