There were only three positive Covid-19 cases and no deaths recorded by the Department of Health in Fermanagh and Omagh in the last 24 hours.

The local council area has seen the fewest number of positive cases in recent weeks, while the seven day positive case rate is the lowest in Northern Ireland.

There has now been 5,519 positive cases locally while the case rate per 100k of population is currently 41.9, slightly lower than the previous seven day rate of 45.4. There were 49 positive cases in the last seven days.

Of these 49 cases nine were aged 19 and under; 19 between 20 and 39; 15 aged between 40 and 59; five aged between 60 and 79 and one aged 80 and over.

From February 15-21 postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low positive cases with BT92 having eight; BT74 had eight; BT94 and BT93 both recorded two cases.

Across Northern Ireland, five deaths were recorded bringing the total to 2,041. No deaths were reoprted locally where the death total is 83.

There are currently 41 Covid inpatients in the Western Trust with 17 in SWAH. Across all hospitals in Northern Ireland there are 376 Covid inpatients.

SWAH currently has no ICU Covid occupied bed. Across Northern Ireland there are 48 Covid ICU patients with 39 of them on ventilators.

SWAH is currently operating at 106.47 per cent of bed occupancy according to Tuesday's update.

In care homes, there are 46 active outbreaks as of February 23, a fall of 18 compared with the previous seven days. Out of the 78 outbreaks as of February 15, there have been 17 outbreaks in the Western Trust.
