POLICE in Fermanagh and Omagh are warning people to be vigilant following suspicious activity this week around motorhomes.

Police received a number of reports of suspicious activity on Tuesday, February 23.

On each occasion it was reported that a male had called to people’s homes to enquire if they would sell him their motorhome.

These visits were unwanted and none of the people approached had advertised a motor home for sale.

Whilst at this time no crimes have been reported, a number of those who reported the matter to police have been left feeling very concerned as to the possible motives of the man who called to their homes.

In relation to the incidents, a PSNI spokesperson said: “We are currently conducting a number of enquiries into these incidents and would ask anyone who is approached in a similar manner to contact police. The number to call is 101.

“The suspicious nature of these reports is a timely reminder to us all to ensure we make every possible effort to safeguard our property, and prevent ourselves becoming a victim of a crime.”

The reports were received from Lisbellaw, Lurgan, Lisnaskea, Armagh, Downpatrick and Aughnacloy.
