The latest update from the Department of Health on Covid-19 in Northern Ireland has shown there was only seven positive case and no deaths reported in the Fermanagh and Omagh area in the last 24 hours.

There havenow been 5,545 positive cases locally while the death total remains at 83.

Across Northern Ireland there were 241 positive cases and 2 deaths bringing the respective totals to 112,173 and 2,050.

Fermanagh and Omagh continues to have the lowest seven-day rate of positive Covid cases in Northern Ireland.

Some 46 people have tested positive locally in the past week, which is a rate of 39.4 comapred to the previous seven day rate of 49.6.

Of these 46 cases, six were aged 19 and under; 19 were aged between 20 and 39; 14 were between 40 and 59; six were between 60 and 79, and one was aged 80 and over.

From February 15-21, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low positive cases, with BT92 having eight; BT74 had eight; BT94 and BT93 both recorded two cases.

There are currently 40 Covid in-patients in the Western Trust, with 18 in the SWAH. Across all hospitals in Northern Ireland, there are 335 Covid in-patients.

There are no Covid patients in the SWAH ICU while across the resot of Northern Ireland's hospitals there 36 Covid patients in ICU with 34 on ventilators.

There were 28 confirmed active care home outbreaks as of February 26 a drop of 19 compared to the previous seven days.
