Hospital admissions, positive Covid cases and Covid related deaths continue to fall both locally and across Northern Ireland.

Over the weekend, cases in Fermanagh and Omagh remained low with 17 people testing positive for the virus, bringing the total to 5,562. 

Across Northern Ireland, 458 tested positive increasing the total to 112,631.

There were seven deaths in Northern Ireland since Friday's Covid update from the Department of Health. 2,057 people have now died since the start of the pandemic. There were no deaths recorded locally over the weekend with the death toll in Fermanagh and Omagh still at 83.

Fermanagh and Omagh continues to have the lowest seven-day rate of positive Covid cases in Northern Ireland.

Some 48 people have tested positive locally in the past week, which is a rate of 41.1 comapred to the previous seven day rate of 47.9.

Of these 48 cases, five were aged 19 and under; 21 were aged between 20 and 39; 16 were between 40 and 59; five were between 60 and 79, and one was aged 80 and over.

From February 22-28, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low positive cases, with BT92 having six; BT74 had seven; BT94 had four and BT93 recorded two cases.

There are currently 36 Covid in-patients in the Western Trust, with 15 in the SWAH. Across all hospitals in Northern Ireland, there are 302 Covid in-patients.

There are no Covid patients in the SWAH ICU while across the rest of Northern Ireland's hospitals there 34 Covid patients in ICU with 29 on ventilators.

There were 26 confirmed active care home outbreaks as of March 1 a drop of 18 compared to the previous seven days.
