The Department of Health's daily update has shown that seven people tested positive for Covid-19 in Fermanagh and Omagh, while there were no deaths recorded locally.

It brings the total number of positive cases to 5,569 while across Northern Ireland the total number now stands at 112,780 following 149 positive cases.

There were two deaths in the whole of Northern Ireland increasing the death toll to 2,059. Fermanagh and Omagh's death toll remains at 83.

Fermanagh and Omagh continues to have the lowest seven-day rate of positive Covid cases in Northern Ireland.

Some 48 people have tested positive locally in the past week, which is a rate of 41.1 comapred to the previous seven day rate of 44.5.

Of these 48 cases, two were aged 19 and under; 23 were aged between 20 and 39; 16 were between 40 and 59; five were between 60 and 79, and two was aged 80 and over.

From February 22-28, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low positive cases, with BT92 having six; BT74 had seven; BT94 had four and BT93 recorded two cases.

There are currently 39 Covid in-patients in the Western Trust, with 15 in the SWAH. Across all hospitals in Northern Ireland, there are 289 Covid in-patients.

There are no Covid patients in the SWAH ICU while across the rest of Northern Ireland's hospitals there 34 Covid patients in ICU with 30 on ventilators.

There were 25 confirmed active care home outbreaks as of March 2 a drop of 21 compared to the previous seven days.
