Explorers will get the chance to scour a magical maze coming to the Parade.

Prizes will be up for grabs for people who successfully explore the labyrinth and manage to find the mythical knight Eustace II de Watford’s ‘missing belongings’ in the maze.

The maze, which will be located on The Parade by the pond between May 29 and June 6, is part of a series of summertime events titled ‘Watford’s Summer of Fun’.

People successful in completing the maze will also be awarded with a photo certificate and will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win an iPad.

Only groups of up to six people will be permitted into the maze at a time, and there will be a socially distanced queue system in place to ensure visitor safety.

Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “These special events help bring Watford residents together, and after so long of being unable to see one another, it’s important that we can come together in safe ways such as this.

“The upcoming Summer of Fun events are the perfect opportunity for this, and I can’t wait to see many of our residents there!”
