The Ardhowen Theatre's livestream programme continues every Friday at 8pm. This Friday night, June 11 will see the Drunken Lullabies bring their brand of traditional folk to the Gallery Bar stage. This talented four piece from Omagh will delight audiences with a mix of original compositions along with some popular covers to suit all tastes. Using traditional instruments such as banjos, accordions, mandolin, bodhrán, whistles and guitar along with vocals and harmonies to create an energetic, foot-stomping set, blending originals and classic folk with fast paced instrumentals and covers of songs from all backgrounds. The Drunken Lullabies will bring a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites.

On Friday, June 18 the Ulster Orchestra will delight the Ardhowen’s classical music fans with a special pre-recorded performance. This varied programme highlighting different sections of the orchestra will include pieces by composers including Dvorák, Richard Strauss, Heber, Suc and Gabrieli. This will be streamed on the Ardhowen's Facebook page at 8pm.

For the first time ever, the grounds of the Ardhowen Theatre will host some live theatre performances. A spokeswoman for the Ardhowen said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome the amazing Heartbreak Productions who'll be treating us to two amazing outdoor shows in July."

On Saturday, July 10, there will be a performance of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', live at 6.30pm, then on Saturday, July 17 at 4pm, there'll be a theatrical performance of the amazing 'Mr. Stink', by David Walliams. Keep an eye on the Ardhowen Theatre Facebook page and website for booking information, which will be released soon.

The theatre will also host a number of summer schemes over the summer months to keep young artists busy. International award-winning school of performing arts, Just Stage It Academy will host a five-day Music Video Camp, running from July 5 to 9, for budding young performers aged nine to 16 years.

The in-person summer camp will be facilitated by pro-dancer Ksenia Zsikhotska. Ksenia is the United Kingdom and British Closed Latin Professional Champion and holds the Latin Show Dance Title. For three seasons Ksenia was a Professional dancer and choreographer on RTE’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and recently she assisted in choreographing the Argentine Tango on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. She also had the pleasure of touring with Brendan Cole's 'A Night To Remember’ production. Ksenia is currently touring with the Ballroom Boys Act 2.

This is a bespoke video based performing arts project with limited places to comply with Covid-19 regulations. The project will culminate in a full music video. To book, please visit www.ardhowen.com and select the appropriate age group when booking. The class is divided into two groups; 10am to 1pm for nine to 13 years and 2pm to 5pm for 11 to 16 years.

Other summer schemes include a sewing summer school with Sew Vintage NI, Comic book writing with Kev F and an Arts and Crafts summer scheme with Julie. Booking for these and other activities will open soon.
