One person was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the Boa Island Road area of Kesh on Friday afternoon (July 30).

Emergency services including the PSNI, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), Air Ambulance and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended the incident which involved one vehicle.

A spokesman for NIAS said:

"The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 1.52pm on Friday, July 30 following reports of an RTC in the Boa Island Road area of Kesh.

"NIAS despatched two Emergency crews to the scene. The charity Air Ambulance with HEMs crew on board was also tasked to the incident.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to the South West Acute Hospital by ambulance."

One NIFRS appliance from Belleek Fire Station attended the scene.

A NIFRS spokeswoman said: "Firefighters were called to a one vehicle RTC on Boa Island Road, Belleek.
"Firefighters were not required at the scene. The incident was dealt with by 1.58pm."

The Boa Island Road was closed for a period of time on Friday afternoon whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
