A Kesh man has been returned to the Crown Court to face a series of drug charges.

Brian John Nathan Cassidy (42), of Erne Park, Kesh, appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday on charges of importing a controlled drug, namely Diazepam, attempted possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply, attempted possession of a Class C drug and two counts of being concerned in the offer to supply a Class C drug.

The charges relate to an incident on a date unknown between June 1 and July 25, 2017.

Cassidy did not object to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.

A Public Prosecution Service representative told the court there was a Prima Facie case for Cassidy to answer with District Judge Steven Keown satisfied this was the case.

Cassidy did not say anything in relation to the charges and did not give evidence or call witnesses or tender statements at the hearing.

He was released on bail of £500 to appear again at Dungannon Crown Court on October 21.
