Members of the North West Mountain Rescue Team (NWMRT) recently rescued a sheep which had become stuck on Cuilcagh mountain.
Call from farmer
Team members tended to the sheep following a call from a local farmer on Sunday, September 5.
A NWMRT spokesman told The Impartial Reporter: “On Sunday morning team members took part in an animal rescue on Cuilcagh mountain involving a technical rope set-up over a vertical drop near the top of the stairway.
“Once the sheep was located on the cliff, a rope system was put in place to enable two team members to be lowered, secure the animal and bring it back to safety.”
