Police in Fermanagh are currently investigating threatening letters received by some residents in the Brookeborough area relating to their CCTV cameras.
A PSNI spokesman said: "Everyone has the right to protect their property and CCTV is a tool which can effectively manage the threats of burglary and criminal damage, amongst other things.
"If anyone has an issue or concerns over an individual’s use of CCTV, they should highlight their concerns to police, or even speak with the owner of the CCTV camera.
"Under no circumstances can it be considered appropriate to threaten to burn down homes with families in them."
Anyone who has information around these letters are urged to make contact with the PSNI at 101 quoting reference 55 09/10/21, or anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or https://tinyurl.com/ebuy8c5d.
