A kind-hearted Fermanagh woman will host a special 5K walk in memory of her beloved father and a dear friend.

Sarah Mavitty from Culkey, Enniskillen will host a walk on Sunday, October 24 in memory of her late father Raymond Mavitty who died in December 2020 and her dear friend Tanya Armstrong who died in August 2021.

The walk will take place in Castle Coole Country estate at 2pm with walkers meeting at the main car park. Walkers are encouraged to make donations on the day to NI Panc and Royal Victoria Hospital Liver Support Group.

There has also been a just giving page set up by Sarah.

Sarah said: “I wanted to do it as the Liver Support Group supported dad through his liver transplant. They gave him a lot of support, when he went to London they were able to bring mum along too and hey really looked after him during that time.

"Tanya was a good friend from bowls and she was supported by NIPanc and they did a lot for her during her illness. They gave her great comfort and great care as well as a lot of support.

Sarah added: “This is open to everyone and everyone can come along.”

Sarah will also a bake sale to raise money for the two charities on Friday October 29. The bake sale will be hosted on The Diamond, Townhall Street.
