Enniskillen Light Operatic are to return to the Ardhowen Theatre stage this winter with their new show, ‘The Show Must Go On’.

Enniskillen Light Operatic – fondly known locally as ELO – is an amateur musical theatre company based in the Fermanagh Lakelands.

As with many theatre companies, ELO were put out of action due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, they are now back and rehearsals are well under way for their comeback show, starting on December 1.

‘The Show Must Go On’ is an exuberant and uplifting revue, featuring some of the best music of Broadway and London’s West End.

A spokeswoman for ELO said: “Come with us on an emotional rollercoaster ride through the effervescence of ‘Mamma Mia’, the heart-rending sorrow of ‘Les Miserables’, from the soaring majesty of ‘Wicked’ to the childlike wonder of ‘Matilda’.

“Along the way we’ll sample some Disney favourites and excerpts from the theatrical phenomenon that is ‘Hamilton’. All of this and much more awaits.”

Tickets for ‘The Show Must Go On’ are now on sale via the Ardhowen Theatre’s website - www.ardhowen.com. Due to the ongoing pandemic, ELO will host five shows instead of their usual 10, so early booking is advised.

“Join us for the perfect start to Christmas and the antidote to the lockdown blues,” added the ELO spokesperson.
