IT WAS a beautiful autumnal morning in Brookeborough for the annual Remembrance Parade last Sunday, November 14.
Under the command of parade commander Iain Lendrum, and led by Maguiresbridge Silver Band, the parade made its way to the town’s War Memorial.
The parade consisted of a large number of veterans and youth groups.
The moving service at the memorial was led by Reverend McLaughlin and Reverend Daphne Hanna.
Wreaths were led on behalf of the Brooke family, the Royal British Legion, UDR Association, Royal Irish Association and the PSNI.
There were also wreaths laid by the Orange Order, and a variety of youth groups.
The Last Post and Reveille were sounded as the two-minute silence was observed by the large crowd prior to the parade returning down the main street, where a salute was taken by Matthew Brooke; Kenneth Dunlop, Chairman, Lisnaskea UDR Association; and a member of the PSNI.
