A MAN who was caught urinating in full view of traffic has been handed a fine at Enniskillen Magistrates Court.
Niall Patrick Johnston (26), with an address of Windmill Heights, Enniskillen, was convicted of indecent behaviour following the incident on September 26.
The court heard on Monday that at around 11.50pm on the day in question, police on patrol observed the defendant at Queen Street.
One minute later, they again spotted him, but this time on Ann Street. However, on this occasion he was facing two lanes of traffic and was urinating, making no effort to conceal himself from traffic.
Johnston was detained by police, after which he replied: “I’ve done nothing wrong, lad.”
Michelle McVeigh, solicitor for Johnston, told the court she had little to add [to the facts], but that her client had consumed alcohol and he wanted to apologise to members of the public who may have witnessed his inappropriate behaviour.
District Judge Steven Keown fined Johnston £250.
