Seskinore Rural Community Group is exploring possibilities for improving the facilities and grounds at Seskinore Forest for community use and benefit.

The group has recently commenced a feasibility study to allow it to explore improving infrastructure and are keen to engage with the local community and forest users to get their personal views.

The group is currently working with a local consulting firm and by working with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, DAERA/Forest Service and Architectural Heritage Fund will identify viable options for improving existing infrastructure and the unused buildings which have the support of the community and can realistically be delivered.

Earlier this week, the group's Chairperson, Robert Riddell, said: “We are keen to hear how local people and users feel about the forest and how best we can improve facilities in the forest for everyone.

"The survey is currently being distributed and we are eager to hear from all ages and get various ideas on how the forest can benefit you.

"All responses will be treated in confidence and used only to assist us in our planning."

The deadline for survey responses is Friday, December 3. At a later date, Seskinore Rural Community Group will share the outputs of the survey and the draft development proposals with the community.
