A new visual art area, showcasing a range of contemporary art, has opened at the Ardhowen theatre, Enniskillen. Working in collaboration with Fermanagh-based art gallery, Hambly & Hambly, the visual art area, located in the lower and upper foyers, will display a range of new work by contemporary artists over the next year.

The showcase will feature 15 artists throughout the year who are represented by Hambly & Hambly.

The installation was launched by the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson, on Monday, December 6.

Councillor Thompson said: “The new visual art area provides a wonderful public space for the display and viewing of new contemporary art from a range of artists throughout 2022.

“Collaborations such as this help to bring the arts to more people and make it more accessible, as well as enhancing the overall visitor experience to our arts and cultural venues such as The Ardhowen.”

The current installation can be viewed at The Ardhowen during normal opening hours of Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
